Keeping It Classy Collection SNEAK PEEK!

Hi everyone!

George and Ginger Pattern Company’s first collection goes live in ONE WEEK! All of the testers have been hard at work to make sure this collection is everything you’re expecting it to be and more! But today, we are officially kickin’ off the blog with some sneak peeks, a G&G Black Friday ‘Survival Guide’, and info on the HUGE release day giveaway. Let’s get started, shall we?

Every year Joann Fabric and Craft Stores start their Black Friday specials early. This year the doorbusters start TOMORROW! They obviously know how addicted we all are to fabric. Well played, Joann… I am going to personally walk you through each of our three new releases, and how to score the best deal on fabric this week to prepare for each pattern!

First up, we have the Downtown Overcoat. For this stylish coat, wool and heavier fabrics are ideal, however, you can use ANY woven fabric you’d like! The snuggle flannel prints at Joann are seriously to die for. What’s even better is that starting tomorrow at 6 am, flannel will only be $1.49 – $1.74 a yard. You can line it with another equally as cute flannel print or solid, OR you can pick up some quilter’s showcase cotton fabric for only $3.99 a yard Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. If you wait until Saturday, you can score the quilters showcase prints for 60 percent off, making them around $2.39 a yard (I can’t guarantee there will be any left though)! If you’re looking to make the coat with heavier fabric, ALL apparel fabric will be 60 percent off starting Saturday morning. You can get away with making a COAT for under $10.00! How cool is that?

Second, we have the Darling Dress. This one is probably the quickest sew of them all, with the most options! With options for knit, woven, stretch lace, chiffon…you can’t go wrong with this dress! Depending on the look you’re trying to achieve, there are MANY Black Friday deals that will help you get the most for your money. When your friends ask “How much was that dress?” you can literally tell them it was between $5.00-$15.00 (maybe even less)! If your taste is “crazy” like mine, you may opt for the 50 percent off licensed character prints for your dress!

Lastly, we have the Classic Cloak. This super simple yet elegant design can be made and lined with any woven fabric, even though 60 inch wide fabric is ideal. Flannel and fleece make it warm and cozy for the cold winter days ahead. You’re definitely going to want to hit up the flannel sale for this one! As I mentioned earlier, apparel fabric will be 60 percent off on Saturday. For extra savings, purchase your buttons for 40 percent off, valid Tuesday-Saturday. Since buttons are not a doorbuster deal, use the 25% off your total purchase coupon for extra savings!

Some other ways to save this week at Joann’s:

-ALL cutting tools will be 60 percent off starting Tuesday (ending Friday)

– Thread and quilting notions will be 40 percent off from Tuesday-Saturday

– Dress forms and mannequins will be 60 percent off Saturday only

– Their ENTIRE STOCK of Christmas Fabric will be 70 percent off starting TOMORROW (Tuesday).

– There are two 50 percent off coupons and two 25 percent off coupons, each valid Friday and Saturday. You may use as many 50 percent off coupons as you’d like, just as long as the item IS NOT on sale, and each coupon has a different bar code number.

If you do not have a Joann store in close proximity, don’t worry–the sale is valid online as well!

I will be wrapping up my first official blog entry with a G&G launch party giveaway! One lucky winner will win ALL 3 patterns from the debut Keeping It Classy Collection, along with 3 corresponding fabric bundles for each pattern.  To enter, all you need to do is make a G&G free pattern (download them all HERE) and post a photo in the George and Ginger Facebook Group and hashtag your picture with #ggstyle!  You may enter as many times as you’d like!  Winner will be chosen randomly at 10 am CST on Monday, November 30!

Good luck, and #sewallthethings
